<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Accounting Clerk / Project Accountant (Contract)</p><p> <strong>Location:</strong> Cranbury, NJ (Fully Onsite)</p><p> <strong>Compensation:</strong> $25–$30/hour</p><p> <strong>Duration:</strong> 3–6 months (Maternity Leave Coverage)</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p><p> We are seeking a detail-oriented and team-focused Accounting Clerk / Project Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. This is an immediate need with the opportunity to start as soon as next week. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative setting and be willing to jump in wherever needed.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p> • Perform <strong>job costing activities</strong>, including data entry into job cost systems and partnering with Project Managers</p><p> • Manage <strong>Accounts Payable</strong> processes, including invoice processing and vendor communication</p><p> • Assist with <strong>billing and Accounts Receivable</strong> functions</p><p> • Support <strong>subcontract administration</strong> and documentation</p><p> • Provide <strong>general accounting and administrative support</strong> to the team</p><p> • Maintain accurate records and ensure strong attention to detail across all tasks</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p> • Prior experience in <strong>construction, engineering, or architecture industries</strong> strongly preferred</p><p> • Experience with <strong>Sage CRE 300</strong> is a plus</p><p> • Strong <strong>organizational skills</strong> and attention to detail</p><p> • Proactive mindset with a <strong>team player attitude</strong> (“how can I help?” approach)</p><p> • Ability to work fully onsite in Cranbury, NJ</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Additional Details:</strong></p><p> This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project accounting while supporting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
