<p>The Arc Welder/TIG Welder will be responsible for welding and fabrication works, carrying out inspections on all equipment and structures, coordinating with technicians, and attending to machine breakdowns.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br /> Complying with health, safety, and environment policy while carrying out maintenance activities.<br /> Ensuring observance of standard operating procedures in day to day execution of maintenance activities.<br /> Ensuring proper housekeeping of the workshop and machines.<br /> · Interpret drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.</p> <p>· Welding and fabrication of components, structures, pipelines etc.</p> <p>· Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.</p> <p>· Maintain and repair all machinery.</p> <p>· Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors.</p> <p>· Carrying out routine preventive maintenance inspections on all equipment.</p> <p>· Responding to abrupt machinery breakdowns with technicians anytime.</p> <p>· Ensuring proper utilization and storage of all equipment and tools.</p> <p>· Manage costs through focused improvement and innovations.</p> <p>· Cost, Safety and People in order to establish the basis for Effective Problem Solving,</p> <p>· Continuous Improvement and Innovation; and</p> <p>· Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.</p> <p>· Working Relationship and Work Environment:</p> <p>· Working with the entire staff and departments in Movit Products Limited;</p> <p>· Maintain good relations with key associates and company external stakeholders; Office based and ability to manage urgent demands;</p> <p>· Ability to meet deadlines and exhibit a high degree of flexibility and versatility;</p> <p>· Ability to work in a team.</p> <p><strong>Qualification Requirements:</strong><br /> High school diploma from any reputed/recognized institute with minimum 2 years work-related experience.<br /> Appropriate state certification.<br /> Proven experience working as a fitter.<br /> Sound knowledge of local and state building codes.<br /> The ability to use hand and power tools.<br /> The ability to interpret blueprints for mechanical systems.<br /> The ability to concentrate for extended periods.<br /> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.<br /> Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.<br /> Exceptional welding and mechanical skills.<br /> The ideal candidate for the Arc Welder/TIG Welder position should hold a minimum an the advanced certificate in welding and fabrication.; a diploma in mechanical engineering is an added advantage;<br /> A minimum of two (2) years` relevant working experience preferably in the position in a busy working environment;<br /> Excellent skills in welding and fabrication including Arc and Tig welding;<br /> Excellent skills in all welding types and welding positions;<br /> Awareness of health, safety and environment standards; Should have quick Troubleshooting skills and result oriented; Should be able to interpret Mechanical Engineering drawings;Should have basic knowledge on lathe, shaper and milling machines.; Should have basic knowledge in machine fitting; Should have knowledge in electrical safety;<br /> Ability to work under pressure with minimum or no supervision and meet deadlines in a fast-paced changing environment;<br /> Excellent interpersonal, communication, supervision, reporting and organization skills with a high demonstrable level of integrity and confidentiality.</p> <p class="job_tags">Job Tags: <a href="https://qatarjobfinder.com/job-tag/tig-welder/" rel="tag">Tig welder</a>, <a href="https://qatarjobfinder.com/job-tag/welder-jobs-qatar/" rel="tag">Welder</a></p>
