If you are a safety-obsessed professional seeking premium Amazon jobs that utilize technical driving skills, our Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operations team is your ultimate destination.

PIT Operators hold some of the most respected positions on the warehouse floor. A veteran operator recently reviewed: "Operating a reach truck at Amazon is fantastic. The safety protocols are the strictest I’ve ever seen, which gives you incredible peace of mind. The equipment is brand new, and the pay premium for driving PIT makes it one of the most lucrative warehouse associate roles available." Employees love the independence of the role and the specialized training provided.

Job Summary

We are actively seeking experienced Forklift Operators to command our Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT). In this specialized role, you will operate stand-up reach trucks, cherry pickers (order pickers), and center riders. You will navigate massive, high-bay aisles to replenish inventory, stow bulk pallets, and pick oversized items. This logistics career requires nerves of steel, perfect spatial awareness, and a total commitment to safety in a bustling industrial environment.

Comprehensive Responsibilities

  • Heavy Equipment Command: Safely drive and maneuver complex PIT equipment, including elevating yourself up to 40 feet in the air on an order picker to access high-rack reserve storage.
  • Inventory Replenishment: Pull massive pallets of bulk goods from reserve locations and transport them precisely to active picking bins to keep the outbound flow uninterrupted.
  • Safety Dominance: Execute rigorous daily pre-trip inspections of your assigned machinery. Strictly adhere to facility speed limits, horn-honking protocols at intersections, and harness tie-off rules.
  • Scanner Integration: Utilize mounted RF scanners and onboard computer terminals to log every pallet movement, ensuring the warehouse management system remains 100% accurate.

Industry-Leading Benefits

Specialized skills command dominant benefits:

  • Minimum of 6 months of verifiable experience operating reach trucks or order pickers is highly preferred.
  • Absolutely no fear of heights (you will be working up to 40 feet elevated).
  • Valid driver's license and a flawless commitment to safety.
