HaskoningDHV (India) is seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineers to support our Maritime related projects in India. The position is full-time and based in Mumbai, and we are looking good hands on experience in Bulk material handling

What will you do

As a part of a larger MEP Team delivering key Port Mechanical infrastructure design activities, you will be a key player in designing smart, sustainable and modern fluid power systems on international maritime projects. Our Projects are technically complex and multi-dimensional, involving various implementing agencies and stakeholders. It includes all aspects of mechanical utilities distribution planning & optimization, equipment process control and monitoring.

The Junior Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in the technical and operational management of project delivery with our multidisciplinary team of international experts. The role also requires close coordination and collaboration with the Team, client, implementing agencies, and other key stakeholders.

You will potentially become part of Maritime group at HaskoningDHV India (based in Mumbai) as a regular employee, with opportunities to contribute to international projects harnessing modern design tools, technical expertise and sharing of global best practices. As a team, we seamlessly bring together a wide range of mechanical services and innovation in specialized Maritime projects across Feasibility, Concept, FEED and Detailed design stages. We support clients - both private and (semi) governmental - across all phases of the project cycle, from inception and master planning to project delivery and commissioning.

Key responsibilities on the project

  • Independently carry out design and detailing of wet utilities like domestic water, firefighting, compressed air and gases and storage for port related infrastructure and building MEP services.
  • Carry out concept distribution layout, sizing, process flow and plant room layout design.
  • Plumbing and surface drainage system for Maritime Projects or MEP Infra projects.
  • Finalize material and equipment selection interfacing construction methodology and fabrication / testing and quality codes.
  • Interact with clients and vendors, occasional site visits to assess site execution / design implementation.
  • Work on different stages (FEED, Tender & Construction stage detailed design) of projects

What you bring

  • A full time bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of 3-7 years of relevant professional experience in Bulk material handling
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Software – Fluidflow, Pipenet, SP3D, Navisworks, REVIT MEP, Auto CAD
