  • Applicants must possess state-specific license requirements based on their location: residents of Idaho must hold a valid ID license, residents of Arizona must hold a valid AZ license, residents of New Hampshire must hold a valid NH license, and residents of Massachusetts must possess both NH and MA licenses.

Key job responsibilities

  • Management and oversight of a team of pharmacists and technicians who work in the department.
  • Coordinate with Operations Managers to provide clinical guidance to process and project changes in coordination with the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
  • Manage and develop quality improvement measures, including identifying customer issues and implementing process improvement solutions. Answer questions, provide guidance where necessary surrounding department processes
  • Work directly with Operations Managers, Compliance team, and Regulatory Operations to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and maintain compliance standards in daily operations. Monitor and manage daily operational metrics, making real-time decisions on workflow adjustments and resource allocation to maintain service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Responsible for the training and development of the team
  • Create and manage rotational job assignments and coordinate daily/weekly scheduling to ensure optimal pharmacy team coverage and workflow efficiency
  • Investigate quality errors and facilitate proper resolution, reporting, and coaching as necessary
  • Collaborate with HR and department leadership team to coach team members accordingly for performance, quality, and attendance concerns when appropriate including proper documentation.
  • Work hands-on in production environment to complete operational tasks and escalations that require leadership.
  • Ensure timecard accuracy for team prior to payroll being completed
  • Preform other duties as assigned by manager

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Doctorate Pharmacy Degree
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in domicile state
  • Willingness to obtain an Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in a minimum of 8 out of 21 US states which require a Non-resident pharmacist license within the first 6 months in role. PIC will assign the 8 state licenses based on what is currently needed for redundancy purposes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations surrounding pharmacy practices and patient safety
  • Prior management experience leading a team
  • Flexibility to work weekends and/or evenings with occasional extra time as required
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to work in a highly ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
  • Strong problem solver and drive to find a resolution to known problems
  • Requires a high level of Bias for Action
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with leaders and peers at various levels within the organization
  • Understanding of Lean Methodologies
  • Previous experience with pharmacy automation
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Ability to speak to performance metrics (how, when, who)
