<strong>Job Description</strong><br><br><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong><br><br>The purpose of the Project Manager position is to plan and coordinate projects to meet the overall goals of the project and serve as the main contact with the contractor or owner.<br><br><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:</strong><br><ul> <li>Review shop drawings, contract drawings, specifications, and applicable standards to determine appropriate installation methods.</li> <li>Generate proposals for change orders, and as assigned.</li> <li>Determine labor requirements and preparing schedules, track changes.</li> <li>Order and track material, equipment, tools, and other necessary items based on design and/or contract needs. </li> <li>Review time for assigned projects and/or contracts to ensure alignment with project budget.</li> <li>Monitor overall progress of the project and preparing job records</li> <li>Generate proposals for change orders, RFI's, ASI's and MCR's; communicate approved items into organizational system(s) and/or to designated representative for processing. </li> <li>Ensure employees follow all relevant safety standards and procedures, work environment in accordance with the SFP standards. </li> <li>Meet with AHJ's, contractors, owners, architects, and other design professionals on project progress. </li> <li>Perform a formal project review with the Fire Alarm Manager weekly, or as requested.</li> <li>Assist support staff and facilitate closeout documents to include O&Ms and review as-built drawings for accuracy.</li> <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li></ul><br><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong><br><br>The qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully, however in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications.<br><br><strong>Education, Training, Certifications:</strong><br><ul> <li>High School diploma, technical or related experience and/or training, required.</li> <li>NICET III ITM Water based systems and/or NICET Level IV Fire Alarm, preferred.</li></ul><br><strong>Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:</strong><br><ul> <li>5 years' industry experience, required. </li> <li>Successful experience in leading multiple projects, achieving goaled outcomes including profitability while communicating with onsite customers, preferred.</li> <li>Mechanical aptitude, preferred.</li> <li>Basic and advanced math skills, required.</li></ul><br><strong>Communication Skills:</strong><br><ul> <li>Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.</li></ul><br><strong>Systems and Software Skills:</strong><br><ul> <li>Ability to operate a computer, use Microsoft Office required.</li></ul><br><strong>Other Qualifications:</strong><br><ul> <li>Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required. </li> <li>Must be able to comply with SFS's Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.</li></ul><br><strong>PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br><br>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform Essential Job Duties.<br><br><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong><br><br>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods.
