Job Summary

The role is responsible to support the Head of Reliability Engineering in carrying out the services of the section. The role is responsible to provide processes, structures, advice and guidance to improve or help sustain overall reliability in order to achieve maximum plant reliability which results in higher profits and less incidents. This role requires the provision of technical support in asset management and problem solving through application of specialized techniques, analytical and structured problem-solving processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Facilitate Equipment Criticality Ranking session to set effective and efficient Systematic Maintenance Strategies.
  • Evaluate the existing Preventive Maintenance Task, focusing on effective failure prevention maintenance activities (addressing well identified failure modes) and eliminating unnecessary tasks: Preventive Maintenance Optimization.
  • Identify all possible failure modes in critical plant functional systems, with the final purpose of establishing effective failure prevention maintenance activities: Failure Modes and Effect Analysis.
  • Ensure that major assets installed at production facilities are timely replaced to ensure production continuity. Its main deliverable is an asset replacement plan as input for the two next major plant turnarounds: Long Term Replacements Plan.
  • Analyze production losses and highlight problem areas to make asset owners aware of the weaknesses in the plant and take action to increase reliability.
  • Coordinate the Reliability actions plans for plants’ reliability issues.
  • Perform the training of Reliability tools when applicable.
  • Participate or lead RCA’s as and when required and follow up on implementation of the relevant recommendations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Industry, out of which 5 years working in Reliability area.
  • Knowledge on Criticality Ranking, FMEA, RCM, PMO and RCA techniques.
  • Handling of standards for Asset management ISO 55001, engineering like IEC, ISA, etc.
  • Possess professional certification i.e., CMRP, CRE or equivalent in Reliability / Failure Analysis and Functional safety engineering by ISA /TUV are advantages.
