Amazon obsesses over customers and delivering secure cloud solutions for customers is our priority. We are looking for a cybersecurity professional with security assurance and compliance experience to support AWSs cybersecurity initiatives in the MENAT region. This role will focus on helping customers securely adopt cloud services while meeting regulated industries requirements and regulations.
This position requires experience in cybersecurity governance risk management and compliance frameworks with emphasis on helping regulated customers understand and implement their security and compliance requirements in the cloud. The position will interact with government agencies and institutions including engagement with Regulators security teams and technical staff across multiple countries in the MENAT region.
As part of the AWS Compliance and Security Assurance team you will support the Security Assurance activities for regulated sectors help maintain relationships with cybersecurity regulators analyze security policy requirements and contribute to tracking industry cybersecurity trends across the region.

Key job responsibilities
As a Security Assurance Specialist you will support AWSs cybersecurity compliance initiatives in the MENAT region by:
Working with internal AWS teams to implement security and compliance frameworks
Supporting engagements with regulatory bodies and customers
Contributing to security and compliance solutions for regulated workloads
Helping coordinate between service teams and external stakeholders
You will analyze and document regulatory requirements by:
Collaborating with internal teams to interpret cybersecurity policies and regulations
Helping prepare responses to regulatory inquiries
Supporting the development of compliance artifacts
Maintaining technical documentation and regulatory tracking
You will contribute to compliance programs for regulated industries by:
Gathering and organizing evidence for compliance requirements
Supporting security assessments and audits
Helping maintain documentation of security controls and processes
Working with service teams to validate security implementations
You will support customers and partners by:
Providing guidance on security requirements for cloud adoption
Delivering security awareness presentations
Contributing to security best practices documentation
Helping assess security configurations and controls
You will work closely with internal AWS teams to:
Support security initiatives and projects
Help maintain relationships with regulatory stakeholders
Assist in tracking and reporting compliance status
Document security and compliance findings
You will participate in industry engagements and help prepare regular status updates on security and compliance activities for leadership review
A day in the life
As a Security Assurance Specialist your day involves collaborating with AWS teams across the MENAT region to support security and compliance initiatives. Youll help gather and document compliance evidence assist in preparing materials for regulatory engagements and support the analysis of security requirements. Working alongside experienced team members youll contribute to security assessments help maintain compliance tracking tools and assist in coordinating responses to regulatory queries. Youll regularly interact with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders helping bridge communications between AWS teams and external parties while supporting broader compliance objectives.

Basic qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems Management Cybersecurity or related technical field
7 years experience in IT security compliance or security assurance with experience working with security frameworks and compliance requirements
Understanding of cloud security controls and regulatory requirements
Demonstrated ability to analyze technical documentation and prepare clear written communications
Experience participating in security assessments or audits
Business level proficiency with Arabic language
Preferred qualifications
Professional certifications in security or cloud (e.g. CISSP AWS Security CCSP ISO 27001)
Experience working with regulatory compliance in cloud environments
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret technical and regulatory requirements
Track record of delivering results in a fastpaced environment while managing multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences
Experience contributing to or supporting complex projects through completion
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills across distributed teams
Understanding of MENAT regions regulatory landscape
Ability to travel regionally as needed
