<strong>Job Description</strong><br><br>This Opportunity<br><br>WSP is initiating a search for a full-time <strong>Senior UI/UX Web Designer</strong>, <strong>located near any WSP US office</strong>. This position is part of our Visualization and Data Intelligence practice; a growing national business line focused on advancing and enhancing the quality of WSP client deliverables. The Senior UI/UX Web Designer will deliver the design visual look and feel (UI) and the overall user experience (UX) of web applications for various clients across multiple projects, ensuring that user experience principles are integrated into all phases of delivery. This role provides strategic guidance on design approaches, oversees usability studies, and ensures adherence to accessibility and quality standards. The Senior UI/UX Web Designer collaborates with internal teams and clients to validate workflows, resolve design challenges, and maintain design systems that support enterprise-level consistency. <br><br>Our successful candidate must be a detailed-oriented self-starter with strong communication skills and be a team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Come join us and help shape the future!<br><br>Your Impact<br><ul><li>Define and implement visual design (UI) and overall user experience strategy (UX) on a variety of web and mobile applications.</li><li>Present design concepts to stakeholders, communicate design rationale clearly. and incorporate feedback effectively</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to integrate UI/UX principles into project planning.</li><li>Support, enhance and maintain design of legacy systems.</li><li>Drive creation of polished, professional, high-quality UI/UX design that meet industry standards for responsive design and accessibility compliance.</li><li>Embrace a culture of continuous improvement.</li><li>Collaborate with development team to align design and user experience with technical requirements.</li><li>Work with a variety of technical staff and project teams to determine the best approach for specific budgets, projects and schedules.</li><li>Adhere to given project schedules and budgets and meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Actively pursue research to remain current with industry trends and best practices.</li><li>Consult on applications' overall user journey and experience, ensuring the application is intuitive and enjoyable to use.</li><li>Ability to find solutions to creatively advance applications for WSP clients.</li></ul><br>Who You Are<br><br>Required Qualifications<br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in technical arts, computer science or a related field</li><li>Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.</li><li>5-7 years' experience in custom UI/UX design and implementation for variety of applications</li><li>Proficiency in user-centered design, journey mapping, user flows and usability testing</li><li><strong>An online portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms</strong> (must include link and applicable password)</li><li>Proficiency in Figma, wireframing and prototyping</li><li>Proficiency in responsive and mobile-first design</li><li>Proficiency in ADA Section 508 website requirements</li><li>Proficiency in providing thorough UI/UX analysis of applications</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and congenially with stakeholders in a wide variety of fields</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail</li><li>Ability to self-manage and be nimble in the face of shifting project schedules and delivering high-quality output in a fast-paced, collaborative environment</li></ul><br>Preferred Qualifications<br><ul><li>Working knowledge of CSS, Git, HTML5, JavaScript, React, Tailwind, TypeScript, UI Development, and Vue a plus.</li><li>Experience in leveraging AI tools for UI/UX.</li><li>Experience in Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro)</li><li>Experience in a consulting industry or managing UI/UX design for multiple web applications simultaneously</li></ul><br>WSP Benefits: <br><br>WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.
