<b><strong>A Snapshot of Your Day</strong><br><br>Transformer Service Crew Leader (CL) is a working field service supervisor responsible for assignment of personnel, environment, safety, and overall performance of crew/contractors on field projects.<br><br><strong>How You'll Make an Impact</strong><br><ul><li>Follow and implement Siemens Energy Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies with assigned crew.</li><li>Supervise and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.</li><li>Lead vendors/subcontractors assigned to their crew to perform duties in accordance with local, customer, industry, and corporate laws, regulations, and/or standards.</li><li>Ensure projects are timely and within budget performance of assigned projects. Acquire budget parameters of assigned projects including: scope of work, hours/days budgeted, allowed expenses, and anticipated vendor/subcontractor delivery requirements. Coordination/assignment of crew members including lodging and travel with PM and/or BDM.</li><li>Maintain effective communication with site contact for coordination and project management, including daily written or verbal updates with TRM including project changes, safety reviews (i.e., tailgate meetings), safety incidents (near misses, safety violations, environmental incidents, security incidents), work scope changes, etc. Ensure crew members report work time and expenses daily or weekly using online tools (i.e., SPGI, Concur, etc.).</li><li>Perform quarterly technical evaluations of crew members, using spot reports and technical evaluation forms. This may include on-the-spot corrective actions of assigned crew members. Demonstrate authority level proficiency in other job classifications (i.e., Tech Asst, Tech 2, Tech1, Senior Tech, & CL in training). Perform other duties as assigned by direct manager.</li></ul><strong>What You Bring</strong><br><ul><li>High level field supervisory skills not only to supervise the crew members and subcontractors as assigned, but also to provide a balanced and environmentally friendly work environment. Ability to multitask including experience in supervising a crew, sub-contractors, and vendors as required. Must be able to provide technical instructions regarding required tasks to crew and subcontractors including safe and correct assembly and maintenance of power and distribution transformers and transformer accessories. This includes interpretation and following work scope, assembly, general arrangement drawings, electrical prints, and one-line diagrams as well as test data and factory instruction manual.</li><li>Performing power and distribution transformer receipt inspections including the completion of receipt inspection reports as per the standard and assigned processes. Performing and advising crew members with the safe and accurate operation of transformer oil processor including the performance of vacuum, oil filling, circulating, and draining oil-filled power and distribution transformers, and detailing the process as required. Strong commercial and industrial electrical wiring and troubleshooting skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management, and analytical skills. Strong site leadership skills. Delegating labor and administrative tasks to crew members.</li><li>Collaboration and work well with teams and individually. Proficiency in digital literacy including email, internet, data entry into online tools, and Microsoft and Windows based software. Maintaining Class A CDL requirements as described in contract section 9.09 article c) qualifies for a yearly bonus.</li><li>High school diploma, GED, technical vocational/apprenticeship training combined with prior field service or equivalent related experience</li><li>Shown authority in combined field service technical assembly, maintenance, and repair of power and distribution transformers and transformer accessories in the utility/energy electrical industry. Special skills in one or more of: Distribution, Power, and Transmission electrical substation equipment in power ranges of low-voltage (4160V - 13kV), medium-voltage (13kV - 69kV), and high-voltage (69kV - 800 kV) highly preferred. Prior experience training and/or education as a field lead, foreman, or supervisor. Effective communications skills and ability to lead. Very good time management and analytical skills. Team player with a positive attitude.</li><li>EH&S/OSHA 30 and NFPA-70 training required or will be provided. CPR/First Aid training is a preferred or will be provided. Must perform proficiently at other less senior technical levels (i.e., Tech Asst, Tech 1 & 2, Senior Tech, & CL in training).
