Metal-Fab, Inc. is seeking candidates for a 1st Shift Manufacturing Supervisor position. This position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the direct activities of production personnel ensuring an efficient, consistent manufacture and assembly of manufactured goods as needed to satisfy internal and external customers.

Duties Include:

  • Leadership
  • Regular, in-person attendance at the Company’s facilities
  • Direct supervision and coordination of production personnel
  • Daily oversight of production personnel in multiple work areas
  • Establish work schedules, assignments and production sequences
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, and production schedules to determine production requirements
  • Ensure product is produced to Metal-Fab’s internal standards
  • Maintain both internal and external quality standards
  • Ensuring product is produced to internal standards in a safe and efficient manner
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair and maintenance
  • Communicates policies to staff, assures policies are understood and followed
  • Confers with management and/or subordinates to resolve employee issues, complaints or grievances
  • Maintain constructive working relationships with employees, peers, managers and customers
  • Demonstrates equipment operations, tasks, and safety procedures to new employees
  • Perform cross-training, on-the job training, and follow up to ensure training is completed successfully by employees

Job Location and Hours:

The position is located at 3025 W. May Avenue, Wichita, Kansas 67213

This is an exempt position, normal schedule is Monday – Friday 5:00 A.M.-1:30 P.M.; must be able to work outside of the schedule due to business demands.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Speak, read and write in English
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work daily and weekend overtime as required by business demands
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products
  • Math skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints
  • Problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Ability to multi-task and be a team player
  • Open to change and dealing with constantly changing priorities
