Here’s the scoop - Summary The Marketing Systems Analyst plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across Marketing, Sales, and Commercial teams. In this role, you will own and develop the marketing reporting ecosystem, from data ingestion and modeling to insight-driven dashboards, while partnering closely with IT and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-impact analytics and insights. This position will work on a hybrid schedule with 3 days in-person in our Edmonton (Canada) or Colorado (United States) office.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the marketing reporting ecosystem, including dashboards and enhancements
  • Partner with IT to implement and optimize data ingestion into data-lake environments
  • Design and manage optimized data-lake views to improve dashboard performance and usability
  • Enhance visualization standards with focus on user experience and actionable insights
  • Support recurring and ad-hoc reporting needs using managed reporting and custom queries
  • Analyze performance trends and opportunities across key metrics
  • Translate data into clear, action-oriented insights and recommendations
  • Clearly articulate the what, why, and so-what of business performance
  • Challenge existing approaches when improvement opportunities exist
  • Own data accuracy and integrity across systems and reports
  • Perform routine and ad-hoc data validation and troubleshooting
  • Maintain timely execution of periodic manual updates
  • Improve ways of working to enhance data reliability
  • Partner closely with IT, Marketing, Sales, Innovation, and other stakeholders
  • Engage global stakeholders to unlock new analytical capabilities
  • Communicate insights clearly and confidently, including challenging unclear asks

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in consumer insights and analytics, with a background in consumer packaged goods (pet food or similar), E-commerce, or direct-to-consumer (DTC)
  • End-to-end data development experience (e.g., Databricks to Power BI)
  • Experience with syndicated and third-party data sources (e.g. SPINS, Nielsen, Circana, Euromonitor)
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
  • Strong data storytelling
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence teams across regions and functions.
  • Demonstrated capability in change management and leading multi‑disciplinary teams
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • SQL, Power BI and Data Visualization
  • Analytical Thinking, agile Mindset and able to convert Insights to Action
  • Omni-Channel Acumen
