What you get to do: As a Host or Hostess for Guest Services at Discovery Cove, you’ll provide the highest level of guest service and satisfaction. Your positive attitude and can-do spirit will make all the difference as you help create positive, lasting memories for our guests. You will:   Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and interacting with guests, answering questions and resolving guest issues Perform guest laundry tasks such as loading/unloading washers and dryers, folding towels, and preparing wetsuits and gear bags Facilitate an organized traffic flow of both guests and their vehicles Adhere to safety policies Deliver park orientation spiels to large groups of guests Distribute lockers, gear bags, and wetsuits to guests, ensuring proper fit of swim gear Monitor, sort, and restock gear and supplies throughout shift Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas including trash removal and sweeping of indoor/outdoor pathways and lots, wiping down beach chairs and raising umbrellas, and other light cleaning duties as needed Perform other duties as assigned What it takes to succeed: Must be at least 16 years of age Must be able to work varied shifts (opening shifts start as early as 6:00am and closing shifts end as late as 11:00pm) Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and guests Must be comfortable speaking to large groups Must be able operate washer, dryer, and towel machine with training Must be comfortable with completing all cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals Must be comfortable handling wetsuits (neoprene) and latex products Must be able to train on and properly use protective gear Must be comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor Must be able to stand for entire shift Must be able to walk in sand Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Must be able to push/pull up to 50 pounds with assistance Must be able to bend, reach, twist, and turn with complete flexibility Must be comfortable working around water and animals Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions The perks of the position: Ambassadors will enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment, and great teammates, as well as: FREE park admission Discounts on park admission tickets and passes for family and friends Park discounts on food, merchandise, etc. Scholarship opportunities Exclusive employee events and giveaways   EEO Employer: SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
