Manage the placement process through to bind, including preparation of binders, checklists, and all required marketing file documentation. Execute remarket & renewal assignments, maintaining continuity and file integrity throughout the process. File Quality & Compliance Maintain high standards of accuracy across all file documentation, including quotes, binders, endorsements, and correspondence. Identify and correct inconsistencies or errors in submissions and policy documents; promptly clarify discrepancies with the retail client or underwriter. Follow internal Quality Management System (QMS) standards and ensure all transactions comply with regulatory requirements and company policies. Throughput & SLA Management Manage an active WIP queue, prioritizing accounts to meet pod-level turnaround and cycle-time SLAs. Provide regular status updates to the President of Wholesale on quote progress, pending items, and any accounts at risk of missing SLA targets. Flag incomplete files and escalate when missing information is blocking market-ready status. Carrier & Market Relationships Develop and maintain working relationships with carrier underwriters and market desks relevant to the pod's book. Stay current on carrier appetites, market conditions, and product changes to support efficient and accurate placement decisions. Team Collaboration Coordinate with Brokerage Ops / Service Specialists on document processing, policy issuance, and servicing transactions. Preferred Experience in E&S or surplus lines placement across casualty, property, or specialty lines. Established working relationships with wholesale carrier underwriters. Genuine curiosity about the role of artificial intelligence and emerging technology in insurance underwriting, placement, and workflow automation — and a willingness to actively engage with new tools as Convelo continues to invest in its technology infrastructure. A demonstrated habit of self-directed learning — someone who seeks out process improvements, stays ahead of industry innovations, and can translate what they learn into practical guidance or informal training for peers and junior team members.
