**Job Summary**

We're seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Healthcare Customer Service Representative who possesses the capacity to think outside the box and is excited about the opportunity for professional growth and advancement. This role is 100% remote, and we welcome out-of-state candidates to apply. As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in elevating the patient experience by addressing questions, concerns, and fielding correspondence requests primarily received via phone in a call center environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Receiving and resolving up to 60 calls daily in a fun, fast-paced, metric-driven environment
  • Interacting directly via phone with patients, affiliate partners, payers, and healthcare providers
  • Collecting payments and/or providing guidance on payment options for outstanding balances
  • Updating accounts with new or corrected information; requesting itemized statements &/or re-billing claims when appropriate
  • Explaining medical bills and identifying deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and other patient financial responsibilities
  • Utilizing analytical thinking for account research and reconciliation
  • Managing all interactions in a positive, caring manner
  • Performing specialized tasks as assigned by the manager and/or supervisor

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years' healthcare experience, preferably 2 years of medical billing and direct patient contact in a call center environment with exposure to insurance billing and medical terminology
  • Technical proficiency
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Professional maturity and ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Written/verbal fluency in both English and Spanish (preferred)

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Experience working in a call center environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment
