Reporting to the Senior Director, Communications – Corporate Functions and Revenue, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing integrated communications strategies that advance OpenText's market leadership position across the Americas.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to sales and business leadership across the North and South America regions, driving communications that support pipeline, market visibility and commercial objectives, while simultaneously building the narratives and programs that position OpenText as a partner of choice.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The role demands a seasoned communicator who brings strong business acumen, regional market knowledge and the ability to operate with credibility across both internal and external stakeholder groups. The position is open to candidates located anywhere in Canada.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><br><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS: </span></strong></p><p><strong>Regional Communications — Americas</strong><br>•    Develop and lead integrated communications strategies that build and sustain OpenText's market leadership position across North and South American markets, adapting global narratives to resonate with regional audiences, media, and stakeholders<br>•    Serve as the primary communications partner to Canadian, US, and South American sales and business leadership, providing strategic counsel and communications support that contributes directly to commercial objectives and market development<br>•    Drive earned media and thought leadership programs across key North and South American markets, building OpenText's visibility and credibility with relevant media, analysts and industry influencers. Working in partnership with the global product and engineering media relations team.<br>•    Manage and develop relationships with regional communications agencies, ensuring alignment with global standards and optimal execution across markets<br>•    Oversee regional executive communications, preparing North and South American leaders for media engagements, speaking opportunities, industry and customer-facing events<br>•    Monitor the market communications landscape, providing strategic guidance on market trends, competitor positioning and emerging opportunities or reputational considerations</p><p><strong>Internal Communications — Europe</strong><br>•    Partner with North and South business and functional leaders to support change communications, organizational updates, and employee engagement initiatives across the regions<br>•    Deliver internal communications activities to keep Canadian, American, and South American employees informed, engaged and aligned with OpenText's strategic direction, business priorities, and corporate culture<br>•    Ensure consistency between internal and external messaging across the organization, maintaining alignment with global communications standards and corporate narrative</p><p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration & Integration</strong><br>•    Work in close collaboration with global communications, marketing, and public affairs teams to ensure local and partnership communications are fully integrated within the broader corporate communications strategy<br>•    Contribute to the planning and execution of global campaigns, major announcements and events that have significant market or ecosystem relevance<br>•    Serve as the primary regional communications point of contact for cross-functional initiatives involving local market operations, ensuring consistent and coordinated stakeholder engagement</p><p> </p><p><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:</span></strong></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">•    12 years of progressive communications experience, with demonstrated leadership in regional or market-specific communications roles of increasing responsibility</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">•    Proven experience operating within the market context, with a strong understanding of the regional media landscape, cultural nuances and stakeholder dynamics across key North and South American markets</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">•    Demonstrated experience in partnership communications, with a track record of developing joint narratives and supporting complex partner relationships</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">•    Established capability as a communications advisor to sales, commercial, or business development leaders, with a clear understanding of how communications contributes to market and commercial outcomes</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">•    Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to develop high-quality content and messaging across diverse formats, audiences, and channels</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">•    Experience in the technology sector, or the ability to quickly learn and confidently communicate complex technical topics</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">•    Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate credibly and build influence across all levels of a global organization</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">•    Fluency in English is required;
